Who We Are

FORMA was founded out of a shared passion for design, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and creating timeless homes. We started as two builders who kept ending up on the same job sites, trading ideas about how a project could be done better, and eventually decided to stop comparing notes and start building together. FORMA is what came out of that.

At FORMA, our vision is to redefine homebuilding and renovation by creating timeless spaces where people gather, grow, and thrive. We see every home as more than a structure. It’s the backdrop to family dinners, quiet mornings, birthdays, and all the everyday moments that make a house worth building well in the first place, which is why we treat every square foot with the same level of care, whether it’s a formal living room or a mudroom nobody sees but the family.

Our goal is to provide a seamless, end-to-end experience, guiding clients throughout the building process with precision and expertise, from the very first conversation about scope and budget all the way through the final walkthrough and beyond. We’re committed to integrity, innovation, and excellence in every project, and that includes being straightforward with clients even when the honest answer about cost or timeline isn’t the easy one to deliver.

Built on decades of combined experience in construction, renovation, and real estate development, FORMA represents the next step in a partnership that began years before the company itself did. That history shows up in the way we work today: fewer surprises on site, clearer communication with clients, and a level of craftsmanship that only comes from having done this work, over and over, long enough to know where projects typically go wrong, and how to avoid it before it happens.

A Partnership Built on Experience

Jesse Wendt

Renovating and building homes since 1999, Jesse has spent more than two decades learning the Twin Cities housing stock inside and out, one project at a time. He has a knack for seeing potential beyond the surface in properties other buyers and builders overlook entirely, and a track record of turning tired, dated homes into spaces people are genuinely proud to come home to.

Zack Lessin

Owner of ConstructAll Corporation, Zack has worked as a general contractor since 2010, managing large-scale commercial and residential projects from permitting through final inspection. His background gives FORMA the operational backbone to run complex builds smoothly, keeping crews, subcontractors, vendors, and timelines all moving in the same direction, even when a project gets complicated.

Where We Work

FORMA is based in Minneapolis and builds primarily across the western Twin Cities suburbs. Our recent projects have taken us to lake homes and custom builds in Minnetonka, Wayzata, and Plymouth, with clients in Edina and Eden Prairie as well.
